Your Support, Your Way

NDIS capacity building and allied health services delivered at The Social Space and throughout East Gippsland. We help people participate in what they actually want to do—whether that's gaming with mates, building independence, or accessing community programs on their terms.

Assistance with Daily Life

Building practical skills through activities you actually care about. Help with routine tasks, developing independence, learning what you need to participate on your own terms. Support happens during programs at The Social Space or throughout the community - wherever makes sense for you.

Community Access

Getting to the places and programs you want to be - we provide support and transport to Social Space programs or activities in the wider community. Help navigating new environments and accessing what you want to do. We remove barriers so you can participate in what matters to you.

Allied Health

Allied health services delivered at The Social Space or in the community. We're starting with speech therapy, with plans to expand as our team grows. Sessions in spaces where you're already engaged, making therapy more effective and less clinical.

Why Choose Us

Support Built Around What You Do

We know navigating NDIS can be complicated. Most people just want help doing things they care about - whether that's getting to a program independently, building life skills, or accessing therapy that doesn't feel like therapy. That's what we're building. Support that helps you participate in community, not separate from it.

Real Community Participation

Your supports can happen alongside other people at The Social Space—gaming, creating, learning—or in traditional office or community settings. The difference is our approach: practical, flexible, and focused on helping you do more of what you want to do.

Independence as the Goal

We're here to help you get where you want to go. Start with whatever support you need, work toward independence at your pace. Some participants will transition from daily support to showing up on their own. Some need ongoing help. Both are valid.

Delivered Where It Makes Sense

Allied health services at The Social Space, in our office, or in the community. Some people prefer traditional office settings, others benefit from sessions during programs they're already part of. You choose what works for you.

Our Collaborative Approach

If your current supports are working but you're just looking for genuine community participation options in Bairnsdale, we don't want you to change them. Your existing support workers can bring you to Social Space programs—there's a small out-of-pocket fee to cover venue access. Contact the Social Space Collective team to discuss this option.

Three Business, One Mission

Part of Something Bigger

Gippsland Care Collective operates within The Social Space—a community hub where three businesses work together to create spaces where people can participate and thrive.

The Social Space

Interest-based programs open to everyone. Gaming, D&D, Lego, karaoke, crafting, and more. This is where community happens—where NDIS participants can access programs independently or with support. The activities that make capacity building actually work.

ESports Collective

Structured gaming programs with consistent weekly groups, daily drop-in sessions (3-6pm), tournaments, and events. Where NDIS participants can start with supports and transition to independent participation. Gaming as motivation, community as the outcome.

Gippsland Care Collective

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

NDIS funding can be confusing. These are the questions we expect people will ask about how supports work at The Social Space and what we can help with.

What services does Gippsland Care Collective provide?

NDIS capacity building supports—assistance with daily life, community access, support work—and allied health services starting with speech therapy in Term 2, 2025. Services delivered at The Social Space in Bairnsdale, in our office, or in the community.

How is this different from traditional therapy or support services?

We offer something different—innovative community participation at The Social Space where supports happen through real engagement in gaming, creating, and building things. But if that's not what you want, it doesn't have to be different. We can provide traditional supports in office or community settings. You choose what works for you.

What if The Social Space programs don't interest me?

What interests you? We build programs around what people actually care about. If we don't offer it yet, tell us—we might create it. Or you can access our allied health services and NDIS supports in traditional settings without any Social Space involvement.

What if I don't have NDIS Funding?

Social Space programs are open to everyone, with or without NDIS funding. Gippsland Care Collective specifically provides NDIS-funded supports and allied health services. If you need support but don't have NDIS funding, out-of-pocket payment is possible. Contact us to discuss options.

What allied health services do you offer?
